Jefferson East, Inc., (JEI) along with its community partner, Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC), is excited to provide a new AmeriCorps service opportunity as the Housing Resource Intake Coordinator. The candidate will serve 450 hours through the end of his/her term.

The Housing Resource Intake Coordinator is a paid AmeriCorps position that will report to JEI’s Director of Housing & Neighborhood Services. The qualified candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with diverse populations—i.e. from residents to municipal, state, and federal agencies.  

AmeriCorps member essential duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Conduct client intake assessments related to housing, financial opportunity, safety and basic needs services.

  • Input client intake assessments into Launchpad CMS (Salesforce).                                                   

  • Manage and coordinate referrals to JEI housing, financial, health & safety services staff.

  • Assists with research & implementation concerning JEI’s housing partnerships.

  • Attend municipal meetings for district 4 & 5 (via Zoom).

  • Provide written updates to JEI & execute job duties that arise from attendance at municipal, community, or partner meetings. Focus areas include rental, mortgage, financial assistance programs, & CARES Act legislation (federal and/or state level).

  • Coordinate service linkages to assist service core area residents with resources for basic & emergency needs.

  • Assist with contact management in collaboration with JEI’s Marketing & Communications Manager. 

  • Assist with development and updating of external communication tools (i.e. housing resource page on www.jeffersoneast.org)
