We're Hiring! Director/Manager of Home Repair & Resiliency

Helping Detroiters remain in and improve their homes are two of JEI’s key strategic goals. We are seeking to fill the critical role of Director/Senior Manager of Home Repair and Resiliency (SMHRR). The candidate in this role will have the responsibility of managing JEI’s suite of home repair resources, and work directly with homeowners and JEI’s Housing Counseling team to develop a comprehensive home repair strategy that effectively “braids” together multiple repair programs in order to create healthy, safe and resilient housing. In 2023, JEI has more than $1 million in home repair resources to deploy.

In addition, this position will work closely with the Director of Housing Services to develop a comprehensive case management strategy for each homeowner in which the repair needs of the physical structures are met, and the resident is provided with additional resources to ensure their wellbeing. 

This unique position requires an entrepreneurial individual who is as comfortable on a ladder as they are in a client’s living room, or presenting in the board room.  JEI is looking to fill either a Director or Senior Manager position. If a Senior Manager position is filled, it is anticipated that this position would graduate to a Director level position dependent on performance and additional training needed/obtained.
