FEMA Extends Registration Deadline for Assistance to October 13, 2021
The deadline for survivors of the June 25 –26 severe storms and flooding to register with FEMA for individual disaster assistance has been extended to Wednesday, October 13, 2021.
The extension applies to survivors living in Wayne and Washtenaw counties.
FEMA assistance for individuals and families can include money for rental assistance, essential home repairs, personal property losses and other serious disaster-related needs not covered by insurance.
Residents can still apply for federal assistance with FEMA or appeal if you received a denial letter.
Denials are often because they need additional information and are not final. If you received a denial letter, go to a Disaster Recovery Center or call the FEMA Helpline!
