Property Tax (Deadline) Alert!
JEI Housing & Neighborhood Services, in conjunction with the Wayne County Treasurer’s Office & City of Detroit Assessor’s Office, inform you of a Property Tax Alert!
Homeowners who currently owe 2016 or prior years property taxes may have until JUNE 30th to get on a payment plan such as IRSPA (Interest Reduction Stipulated Payment Agreement) that reduces the interest rate from 18% to 6%.
If you need assistance, we encourage you to contact our office at 313-331-7939, ext. 1 to speak with a counselor. We also assist with Step Forward applications and can connect you with partner agencies to assist renters and homeowners who may have more extensive needs.
